The indoor facility allows for uninterrupted, focussed training in any weather conditions.
Newcomers to the system will learn the processes behind building soffit prop edge protection (with both sloping or flat soffits), access platforms, 1m down attached scaffolding, split platform scaffolding, freestanding scaffolding for both 1 & 2 lifts, and how to build a platform up onto a roof. Work is also underway to accommodate for some commercial edge protection configurations.
Initial training in the facility familiarises new users with all of the relevant components, and the best sequence and techniques to build for these common applications, in the most efficient way. Once initial training is completed, new users will move on to spend time in the field with one of our Tauranga based installers, to further develop their knowledge of the system.
Jimmy Jin of Upwell Scaffolding in Hamilton, was the first new customer to experience the new training facility. “It was great to be able to learn the fundamentals of the system, before heading out onto site with no previous scaffolding experience” says Jimmy. “Joel & Gary were really patient and were great to work alongside”.
