INTAKS® Scaffold & Edge Protection Solutions

Freestanding Scaffolding

Benefits

INTAKS Freestanding is hugely versatile and strong, suitable for almost every type of building project:

  • Platforms can be set at any height.
  • Upright standards with variable spans can be installed clear of windows, doors and other obstacles.
  • Wide spans mean fewer obstructions, allowing trades to get on with their work more easily.
  • Less scaffold bracing required allows for clear access to building.
  • Fast & efficient to install, reducing on-site delays.
  • Much of the assembly is tool-less, contributing to speed and ease of install and dismantle.
  • Straight-forward adjustments, reducing or eliminating significant re-work.
  • Minimal impact on site landscaping.
  • Light, easy to load, unload and carry, resulting in less installer fatigue.
  • Single and multi-level scaffolds go up fast.
Installation process

As with other INTAKS configurations, install follows an orderly, sequential and easy to complete process:

  1. Lay out Soleboards and Screwjacks where Standards are required.
  2. Configure support frames for the bottom platform with tool-less Transom and Standards.
  3. Build first bracing bay.
  4. Install remaining support frames.
  5. Install platform with Interlocking Planks.
  6. Install Handrails using tool-less Spring Clip mechanism.
  7. Install Toeboards using tool-less Toeboard Plank Clips.
  8. Configure and install Standards and Transoms for the next level.
  9. Install Interlocking Planks on next level.
  10. Create Ladder access and install Swing Gate.
  11. Install diagonal face braces, rakers and ties where required.
  12. Install Toeboards on next level.
  13. Complete final checks and handover to site manager.
  14. Dismantle process is the reverse to installation.
