Freestanding Gables

INTAKS® Scaffold & Edge Protection Solutions

Freestanding Gables

This configuration utilises the same components as INTAKS Freestanding to create a gable scaffold. Typically built to stand alone after the main scaffold is removed. Wide spans and flat, uniform platforms, with fewer obstructions to get in the way.

Benefits

INTAKS Freestanding Gables share many benefits in common with the INTAKS Freestanding configuration:

  • Gable can be integrated with scaffolding along the sides of the house.
  • Gable remains in place when other scaffold is removed.
  • Placement of uprights determined by on-site requirements.
  • Internal platforms to permit work under gable soffit.
  • Platforms can be set at any height.
  • Wide spans mean fewer obstructions, allowing trades to get on with their work more easily.
  • Much of the assembly is tool-less, contributing to speed and ease of install and dismantle.
  • Straight-forward adjustments, reducing or eliminating significant re-work.
  • Light, easy to load, unload and carry, resulting in less installer fatigue.
  • Single and multi-level scaffolds go up fast.
Installation process

Install of Freestanding Gables follows a similar process to install of the Freestanding configuration:

  1. Lay out Soleboards and Screwjacks where Standards are required.
  2. Configure end support frames.
  3. Configure middle support frames.
  4. Install support frames and diagonal face brace.
  5. Install remaining support frames.
  6. Install platform with Interlocking Planks.
  7. Install Swing Gate Handrail Post.
  8. Install Handrails using tool-less Spring Clip mechanism.
  9. Create Ladder access and install Swing Gate.
  10. Install rakers and ties.
  11. Install Toeboards using tool-less Toeboard Plank Clips.
  12. Complete final checks and handover to site manager.
  13. Dismantle process is the reverse to installation.
